The role of Trade Assistant Blast & Paint is responsible for assisting our Surface Treatment team in meeting their day to day project surface treatment requirements. A great entry level role to the Bowhill Engineering team, given the opportunity, the right person, will turn this opportunity into a long term career as many on our team have.

Operating plant under pressure, a good level of fitness for work is required as well as a great work ethic and flexibility working with the Surface Treatment team to get the job done.

In this role, you will be involved in

  • Industrial Abrasive Blasting & surface preparation
  • Assist paint preparation & coating
  • Housekeeping
  • Material Handling support
  • General duties and assistance as required

We require someone with:

  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Great work ethic, initiative and positive attitude
  • Confidence with operating power hand tools
  • Ability to work independently under instruction
  • Flexible to meet daily work & team priorities
  • Commitment to safe work practices
  • Reliable & Fit for work
  • Forklift, EWP, W@H desirable but not a requirement
